“I not only use all the brains that I have, but all that I can borrow.”
― Woodrow Wilson
| Dear Members,
This past Wednesday, unfortunately our President Ken Petsch was unable to attend as he has been down with the flu. Please join me in wishing him a speedy recovery.
However, this did allow me the incredible opportunity to be President for a Day! I don’t take this honor lightly, because even though it’s just 24 hours, that’s enough time to plant the seeds of real change, spark bold ideas, and remind the world that leadership isn’t just about power—it’s about purpose.
I believe good leadership starts not with talking, but with listening—to the voices often unheard. There are so many great minds and different perspectives within this club. Everyone has different opinions, strengths, and talents. How lucky we are to have the opportunity to learn from each one of our incredible members.
As I reflect and prepare for my term as President, I’d like to leave you with a message – not a policy or a program, but a promise: Never forget who you serve: people. The people of our great club, the communities in which we live, the youth who benefit from our scholarships and fundraisers.
Because at the end of the day, whether you’re President for a year, or just a single day—leadership is about service, not spotlight. |
