“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time;
they just have the heart.

– Elizabeth Andrew

Dear Members,

This Wednesday, we will once again celebrate and honor those who have served as Presidents of our esteemed organization. It can be easy to forget the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices required of a President—both professionally and personally.

Many of our Presidents began by chairing events such as golf tournaments, holiday parties, and other gatherings designed to bring enjoyment and fellowship to the group. Their success in leading these events often led to invitations to serve as board members or officers. The path to becoming President is a long one, progressing through roles such as Sergeant-at-Arms, Fourth Vice President, Third Vice President, Second Vice President, First Vice President, and finally President—followed, of course, by service as Chairman of the Board. This journey represents not just a one-year responsibility but a multi-year commitment to leadership, growth, and producing positive results for the success of the club.

As President, one must serve as both a leader and example, providing a vision for the club and inspiring others to embrace it. Over the past 93 years, our Presidents have come from a variety of backgrounds and professions, yet they all share one thing in common: they have upheld our oath and never dropped the ball in their service.

I hope you will join me this Wednesday evening as we pay tribute to these remarkable leaders and thank them for their hard work and dedication to this wonderful organization that does so much for so many.

Ken Petsch
2025 President
