I believe luck is preparation meeting opportunity. If you hadn’t been prepared
when the opportunity came along, you wouldn’t have been lucky.”
-Oprah Winfrey
On St. Patrick’s Day, the old saying rings true: everyone is Irish for a day, as people everywhere don green, raise a pint, and embrace the spirit of celebration regardless of heritage. But when it comes to who truly has the luck of the Irish, it’s often not mere chance that brings the good fortune, it’s good planning and sharp execution that turns opportunity into success, much like the leprechaun’s pot of gold rarely appears by accident. The key is to know your plan inside and out, staying clear-headed amid the festivities, and always having an end in mind right from the beginning so that what starts as a lively parade of possibilities leads to a rewarding finish rather than a foggy morning-after regret.
